Hey Guys,
It has been such a long time since I have logged on and wrote a blog and I definitely have missed it. Terribly!
The thing is, being completely honest. Being an artist is just plain hard. Not to say that it is so difficult that it isn't possible but to the point where you can get lost, stuck, muted, and really confused. Just like in any other career, but as a actress/painter/writer WHATEVER IT IS; being muted is NO BUENO. So many ideas run through my head constantly, that I wish there was a cord plugged into my head and wrote and recorded everything so I can grasp every awesome idea/dream I have ever had. (My sister laughs at me when I tell her this!)
But it's not like that. Not at all, and I swear the best ideas come to you at the most random times and places. It's something I have to work on. Like jotting them down on my notes on my iPhone haaha ( I have so many notes is ridiculous!) and actually writing them on here. So get excited because I am going to be writing more frequently and will update my you tube channel.. stay tuned!mwuaha!
Being blocked (not purposely of course) is just aggravating, because your potential and dedication is there, just not 100% available for you to reach and just LET GO! AND BE FREE!
It is like a singer who has sang all her life to herself and family members and then believes she grew out of it because she got older. So she looks for another career to fulfill her happiness, but can't seem to find one that makes her as happy as when she used to sing just for fun. UNLOCK YOUR HAPPINESS
When the idea of fear enters the mind…..it changes everything. SO THEY SAY! … B.S
But does it really? Physically? Of course not, yet why do we still act as if fear was a Big wheeled truck ready to crush us? If we were to tell it "NO I DONT FEAR YOU FEAR!" what could it possibly do to us? NOT A DAMN THANG!
The truth is we control fear. It does not just appear out of no where. It comes from within us, in our minds. We thought about it, and we told ourselves that we are afraid of whatever it is. And then act on not CONCURRING OUR FEAR. (our just beating the crap our of ha!)
See, it really is easy to step on fear and tell it to disappear. Everyone talks about YOLO (You only live once). But why would you want to live the rest of your life in fear? What fun is that? Live your life to the fullest right?
And what if you don't have that opportunity knocking on your door again? And as soon as you said no, your immediate instincts smacked you secretly and just told you how dumb that decision was. What if that was the perfect time for your path to impress you and show you your real potential that you had no idea was in you?
You will live to regret that moment, then later forgive yourself and continue searching for your happiness in your path. Living every moment.
What I am trying to say is, ignore what others say about your decisions. Acknowledge your negative thoughts, and prove them wrong by creating positive outcomes that truly make you happy. Making others happy will not always fulfill your happiness and that is a fact. Because "you only live once"
YOU ALWAYS COME FIRST.
Sound selfish? eh, not really. We come into the world alone, we leave alone and what matters is our journey here, right now in this very moment.
It's time to be a little selfish for once and do what you want. Nothing is impossible. EVERYTHING is possible. Believe in yourself and give yourself credit, because you are important in this world. There is only one of you EVER.
Stop living in the past and in the future. Live in this very moment and conquer your happiness and love.
And your path will roll out, right in front of you without you noticing that it was destiny all along.

Are you always Angry?
Hey guys!
Anger being a waste of energy? Does anger make things worse? Maybe once or just all the time?
Honestly this is such a iffy topic to talk about because when you feel angry most of the time you dont really think about the consequences that come after. For example your brother uses one of your favorite shirts you just bought, you haven't even worn it yet and he wears it to school! So your pissed at the moment and you curse him out and tell him you hate having a brother and wish you never had one, just saying the nastiest things. After a while your blood is still boiling and things can go many different ways. But either at this point you yare feeling so ... overly charged with so much energy you don't even know where to even put or leave it. So you punch a wall or scream in your pillow and feel a little bit better. But what if your brother knows you didn't mean those things and later on really contemplates on it. Being "emotional" about it (as everyone says) or he let the words get to him. Now what? You apologize or maybe just try to brush it off like it never happened. But that energy is still there, within both of you. Sometimes we don't have the power to even control that.. or do we? What about for the people that can't really control how angry they get; where they can not think for a second right before they get angry and think to themselves " hmmmp, I am about to angry and I don't really care for what anyone even thinks." That never happens. Emotions just happen no matter how much we try to hold back, and pretend they are not there.
Anger is so powerful that no one can ever catch it before it slips out. What is the real definition of anger? or being angry?
Anger is a normal emotion with a wide range of intensity, from mild irritation and frustration to rage. It is a reaction to a perceived threat to ourselves, our loved ones, our property, our self-image, or some part of our identity. Anger is a warning bell that tells us that something is wrong.
Definition from: http://www.pbs.org/thisemotionallife/topic/anger/what-anger
Some say it can be healthy or it could be opposite. Honestly my opinion of being angry: it is not worth wasting negative energy when that can be put into positive energy that can benefit you!! (But again being angry happens to everyone!) Emotions is another topic.. but do we seek emotions to feel more comfortable?
Being conscious is one thing, but taking action and trying new ways to become less angry takes practice. Whats one way you try to not get so upset?

3 ways to not "cheat"!
Hey Guys,
Lately I have been thinking about my "cheating days". Because I have been having so many :( But hey at least I am aware of it .. right? Temptation is always knocking on the door in anything that we want to change for the better. I have learned that in order to completely change my whole entire way of eating I have to take baby steps. That is extremely hard for me because I like to pull extreme makeovers in my life! But the reality of going from not so healthy to having a healthy lifestyle will be the real challenge.
So my top 3 ways to not have Cheating days! (Just have one for the week?)
1) LEAVE YOUR ATM CARD OR CREDIT CARD AT HOME.
I know this is probably the hardest one for me because I bring my debit card with me for emergency reasons but its worth a try!
2) BRING SNACKS WITH YOU SO YOU WON'T BE TEMPTED.
If you are always on the go, taking trains and buses and find yourself being surrounded by all the fast food resturants etc, bring your own healthy snack! Bagged up fruit, any type of nuts, homemade treats that you know will knock your hunger while you are out and bout.
3) PREVENT FEELING.
I am not sure if everyone feels a certain way after eating out (McDonalds, Popeyes, etc) But I do, its more or so the type of feeling like "uh I am so full and feel so fat and bloated like I can't breathe, but while I was eating the fries it was tasting so right but now.. I wish I didn't even purchase it" So if you know the end result before hand, remember you don't want that feeling so prevent it.
Bonus: Have one TREAT DAY and enjoy your favorite thing! I am addicted to chocolate : kit cats, m&m's anything that is milk chocolate I adore. But I have slowly been dipping my way into dark chocolate since it is better for you. It is a bit bitter but still kills my craving for "milk chocolate".
Have more way of not "cheating" Comment and share!
Remember trying is key!

Helping others? Get started!
Everyday I'm on the subway and usually a homeless or starving person give out a little insight about their struggle. Asking if anyone can donate change or a few dollars. I've observed this so many times, I mean every single time I'm on the train everyone that's sitting down or standing up in their own worlds, trying to get wherever they are trying to get to, simply turn away/ look down/ pretend / continue what they were doing. Which is.. minding their own business as if no one was talking to them.
I'm not saying to give all your money to every homeless person that asks for it, but what I'm saying is if we really want to help in any kid of way; We should first start with where we live. In our communities. In our own country.
I didn't realize how bad homelessness was until I left my hometown and first visited San Fransico in California with my gap year program. There was a nice 4 star hotel on one block and you would walk around the block and see so many homeless people walking around, laying down with such a sad face. There were soup kitchens and places for them to stay but never enough for ALL of them, leaving hundreds without a bed or a blanket.
I couldn't believe how many people that worked in the city everyday could just walk by without wanting to do something about it.
There are so many more issues than just homelessness.
But my advice? Start with volunteering in your own community. Research is the answer. the holidays are around the corner and we should get in the spirit of helping!

Want to Learn how to drink more water?
Hey dolls,
The struggle of actually drinking water is really a freaking struggle !!
Not just any about of water but I mean the actual amount of water every human being is "suppose" to drink.
Insane in the membrane right? Well I am sure you kind of already had an idea of that.
Ever since I was a toddler I really disliked water, I don't know why. I just couldn't chug water like my sister did while i stayed in awe lol!
Men are suppose to drink 3 Liters of water daily and Women are suppose to drink 2.5 Liters of water daily. How much do You really drink?
Drinking water is so important. I remember on my Outward bound trip in North Carolina we were hiking one of the Appalacian mountains, and I froze. I couldn't walk, I was out of breathe and I was freaking out. My whole troop had to stop and we all sat down for 20 minutes until I felt better. I didnt know what was wrong with me until my troop leader told me I was dehydrated. (And I do recall him telling me multiple times to take sips constantly. I'm just a hard headed girl and had to learn te hard way!!)
One quick tip to drink water is to get flavored drops like Crystal light! Or a much cooler way is to leave your water in the fridge with cut up fruits. Example: strawberry and kiwi flavored water!
My point is lady and gentlemen. Want a healthy lifestyle? Start with the easiest thing: DRINK H2O!
Hey I am still working on it, but I am aware of it. Are you?

Want Success? Go and get it..NOW
Hey dolls!
You know the feeing of WANTING to do something, but you just feel so lazy? My favorite Example: you want to watch tv but the remote control is alllll the way on the other side of the room, but you are to comfortable laying there on your sofa. BAM! If only we had a magical wand to do as we command? Yes we all dreamt of it. Sorry this is not Hogwarts :(
"We want everything now and we want it without earning it" - Rory Vaden
We all want results, but forget it really takes time, consistency, and dedication. One You Tubber I follow: Spoken Reasons, made the perfect slogan that everyone can apply to their life every day!!
FCHW : faith, consistency, and hard work. IT MAKES SENSE RIGHT?! Yes indeed it is true.
You all know Michael Jordan, the best basketball player of all time. But have you tried to figure out HOW IN THE HELL DID HE GET THERE? Did he just wait for someone to scout him or just loved basketball and played well? Ummm sorry to say it did not come to him, he went to it. Here is a quick 10 must-read Success Lessons from Michael Jordan I found online from his Auto biography.
But doing things we don't feel like doing is not as hard as we perceive it. In fact its easier than we think, we just got to do it and start thinking differently.

Pageantry & Crazy Fashion Week!
Original Post date: Sunday February 17, 2013
Hey guys!
So this past weekend I had a great first experience at Couture Fashion week! Yes, a real fashion show in New York City. Might not be mind blowing to you, but to me it had me on cloud nine. May I first say, that never in my life have I attended a big Fashion show in my home town nor in any other state. So this was a big deal for two reasons: 1) One of my close friends was modeling in it & 2) IT WAS HOSTED IN NEW YORK!
Maybe some of you guys don't know, but I have been a pageant gal since I was 14 years old. Last year I had the opportunity to compete in the Ethnic World Internationals with the title of Miss Dominican Republic 2012. I did not win but I was a finalist and met wonderful people that have inspired me in so many ways. As a pageant queen, one must attend events to do appearances, promoting their title/ platform, and volunteering. So since I have been so busy with school I knew this was a perfect time to do an appearance! And thank God I did :)
I got two free seats to attend and went in with a friend. We got their early and got to have some backstage action! I got to meet wonderful make up artists, assistants, and the PRESS. Since I was presented as a pageant queen, many people came up to me and asked to take pictures with me/ of me and handed me their business cards.
My seating was on the second row, but two nice ladies invited me to sit up front! Then the couple next to me decided to leave early and gave me the seats for my friend to join me.In other words the view was amazing.
Enough blabbing about what happened, lets get to the fashion side. Couture Fashion Week was presenting Fall 2013 trends (I know we are barely in Spring!). There was tons of designers like Lourdes Atencio, Kristen Costa, and Ariel Cedno, but the trend that I fell in love with would definitely have to be the creamy lace and and the different shades of brown. The way it was put together was very beautiful. These were mostly all dresses, more or so evening gowns or special occasion dresses. Below is a few pictures that I snapped in motion.
What are your thoughts on these pieces? Are they Fall enough for the runway or they should be darker? I am really interested in your opinions please do comment! Even though I am new to this runway world would love to hear ideas!
